About Us

Subsequent to the assignment of academic staff to the Head of the Department by Rectorship and Dean’s Office, the Division of Assessment and Evaluation in Educatiton has started works on 22^nd March, 2011. The Purposes of the Division of Assessment and Evaluation in Educatiton are as follows:

• To enable students to develop measurement instruments in education and psychology, and to make them gain basic knowledge and skills on interpreting scores obtained by these instruments via the courses at the level of undergraduate and other academic activities,

• To open and maintain graduate programs on training academic personnel and experts who can serve at universities and at private and public institutions in the field of measurement and evaluation,

• To make practice-oriented scientific and theoretical studies and to share the findings of the studies with the academic and social environment,

• To hold knowledge-sharing oriented scientific meetings to make people gain awareness about measurement and evaluation in education,

• To prepare national and international projects on the field of measurement and evaluation in education, to support existing projects and to be the part of ongoing projects,

• To make studies on the field of measurement and evaluation in education in order to develop the relationship and the cooperation with academic units and non-governmental organizations.
